JULIEN DUTERTRE

Julien Dutertre, born in 1985, is currently professor of digital art at the ERG/St Luc in Belgium and creator of a hardware-software prototyping workshop for artists and architects.

He studied at the Beaux-Arts de Nice, Villa Arson. His work is nourished by a particular interest in certain aspects and theories of physics as well as for technologies and their evolutions. These Cartesian domains, destined to efficiency, also contain their share of poetry for him. His practice focuses on perfecting the system to sublimate its imperfection. He also worked as an art director in an advertising agency in Paris for 5 years.

His activity is now based in Brussels where he has been living and working for 6 years.
